Winchcombe sits on the Cotswold edge and is known as a walking centre. For a pet sitting stay, however, it is your dog’s normal exercise and home routine that set the starting point.
Care is provided by Liz, who is very experienced with cats and dogs. Get to know Liz ↗
COMFY PAWS. COSY HOMES.
Care for your home. Company for your pets.
House sitting
If muddy paws usually mean coming in through the back door, show Liz that route along with towels and cleaning supplies. Agree how the house is used during a stay, including sleeping spaces and any areas the pets should avoid.
Your house will be vacuumed and left tidy before you arrive home. Light garden care, including watering plants and the lawn, can be agreed with Liz before your stay.
Cats may have a completely different daily rhythm from the dog. Explain where they can eat undisturbed and whether their litter tray or resting spots need to stay behind a closed door.
Share a favourite ordinary walk, not just the longest local route. Mention stiles, narrow sections or encounters your dog finds difficult, so Liz can discuss a realistic daily plan before you leave.
Have rabbits, guinea pigs or other pets too? Tell Liz the species and care routine before booking so suitability can be discussed. Read about other pet sitting ↗
LET’S GET HOLIDAY-READY
Before you pack the suitcase.
A few details help Liz check whether the stay is a good fit. For Winchcombe, start with:
Your dog’s normal walk duration and pace.
Towels and the usual entrance after a wet walk.
Separate quiet spaces for any cats in the home.
Agree the little things together.
An overnight stay means Liz stays in your home during the agreed nights. Arrival, departure, daytime care and any periods away from the property are discussed in advance; continuous attendance is not assumed.
The calendar is a guide. Contact Liz with your postcode, dates and all your pets’ needs to confirm availability and your quote.
Does living near countryside mean my dog needs long walks?
The plan follows your dog’s normal needs and the arrangements agreed with Liz. Explain their usual pace and exercise pattern, including any limits, before the booking is confirmed.
Can cats and dogs keep separate feeding spaces?
Yes, discuss the system you already use. Showing the doors, bowls and feeding order during the handover makes it much easier to keep the routine consistent.
