AT HOME IN THE SLAUGHTERS

Upper or Lower? Start with your exact address.

This guide covers both Upper Slaughter and Lower Slaughter, the neighbouring Cotswold villages. Tell Liz which village you live in and where to find your property so the handover and travel can be planned accurately.

Care is provided by Liz, who is very experienced with cats and dogs. Get to know Liz ↗

House sitting

If access is shared, parking is away from the door or a gate needs to stay closed, explain the arrangement before the stay. Agree arrival and departure times, sleeping space and the everyday household jobs you want to discuss.

Your house will be vacuumed and left tidy before you arrive home. Light garden care, including watering plants and the lawn, can be agreed with Liz before your stay.

Cat sitting & feeding visits

A clear description of each cat helps Liz recognise who has eaten and who may be resting elsewhere. Include their usual hiding places and the routine around any cat flap or outdoor access.

Dog sitting & daytime walkies

Describe the walks you actually use, including sections near water, lanes or other dogs that you normally avoid. Daytime outings are part of the agreed dog care, shaped around your companion’s existing routine.

Have rabbits, guinea pigs or other pets too? Tell Liz the species and care routine before booking so suitability can be discussed. Read about other pet sitting ↗

LET’S GET HOLIDAY-READY

Before you pack
the suitcase.

A few details help Liz check whether the stay is a good fit. For the Slaughters, start with:

  • Upper or Lower Slaughter, plus the full postcode.
  • Shared gates and parking or unloading arrangements.
  • How to tell each cat apart at feeding time.

Agree the little things together.

An overnight stay means Liz stays in your home during the agreed nights. Arrival, departure, daytime care and any periods away from the property are discussed in advance; continuous attendance is not assumed.

The calendar is a guide. Contact Liz with your postcode, dates and all your pets’ needs to confirm availability and your quote.

A LITTLE HELP BEFORE YOU GO

A few things you
might be wondering.

Ask Liz a question ↗
Does this page cover both Slaughter villages?

Yes. It covers enquiries for Upper and Lower Slaughter together. Send the exact address and dates so Liz can confirm the practical arrangements for your home.

Can our pets keep their usual outdoor routine?

Discuss that routine in detail, including cat flap use, gates and walking boundaries. Outdoor arrangements must be agreed for the individual pets and property before the holiday.
