House sitting
An easy-to-follow household guide should explain what matters each day without assuming local knowledge. Include the entrance to use, any gates and where ordinary supplies are kept, then walk Liz through it before the trip.
Your house will be vacuumed and left tidy before you arrive home. Light garden care, including watering plants and the lawn, can be agreed with Liz before your stay.
With more than one cat, a short note for each animal helps: food, favourite room, normal behaviour and outdoor routine. Ask about feeding visits if that is the care you need, with the whole schedule checked for practicality.
Tell Liz what a typical walk looks like from your home and how your dog behaves around other animals. The plan needs to work for your dog and the household, including downtime once back indoors.
Have rabbits, guinea pigs or other pets too? Tell Liz the species and care routine before booking so suitability can be discussed. Read about other pet sitting ↗
LET’S GET HOLIDAY-READY
Before you pack the suitcase.
A few details help Liz check whether the stay is a good fit. For Guiting Power, start with:
A clear arrival time and final directions.
One short care note for each pet.
Where everyday supplies and pet equipment are kept.
Agree the little things together.
An overnight stay means Liz stays in your home during the agreed nights. Arrival, departure, daytime care and any periods away from the property are discussed in advance; continuous attendance is not assumed.
The calendar is a guide. Contact Liz with your postcode, dates and all your pets’ needs to confirm availability and your quote.
Can we ask about a property outside Guiting Power?
Yes. Give the property’s actual address and postcode, together with the nights or visits required. Liz confirms travel arrangements and availability for the specific booking.
What belongs in the care notes?
Keep the notes practical: meals, walks, usual behaviour, household essentials and agreed contacts. Discuss anything complex with Liz before booking so suitability can be checked.
